Happy New Year !!!!

Well December has come and gone and there is so much to catch everyone up on. First of all Addyson and I attended The Rockettes Christmas Show at The Fox in Atlanta for her birthday. Her official birthday was not until Dec 16th, but since she has been such a great student this year I took her out of school on Dec 2nd to go attend a matinee show. She thought it was the BEST birthday present ever and wants to go back next year to see it again. Cade spent his birthday on the 26th renting multiple Wii games and roller skating with his sister and cousins.

Of course the days of Dec 16 Addyson’s birthday – Dec 26th which is Cade’s birthday are filled with complete chaos. Having both birthdays and Christmas within 10 days is a challenge every year, but some how we always manage. I am just blessed that Addyson turned 6 and Cade turned 8 had wonderful birthdays filled with love and family.

I will update with pictures as soon as I can but Christmas was wonderful spending it with the kids this year, my parents, and my siblings. Both of my brothers came down from Tennessee with their other halves to spend a day or two here with us.

We had a low key New Years Eve – there is not much you can do when you are 7 months pregnant and uncomfortable all the time, but we have enjoyed our days off with family and friends.

Here is the recap of 2009 and the blessings that God has given us:

Jan 2009 – Andy had an interview with a potential employer – he needed a better more secure job. We were praying for God’s guidance.

Feb 2009 – Andy received the job and it was such a blessing. I also found out on Valentine’s day that I was pregnant.

March 2009 – I found out at the end of this month that I miscarried. It was a heart breaking time, but God showed us how much he loved us by placing caring people all around us during this time. I actually made some great friends from this experience.

April – July 2009 – praying for God to bless us with another baby.

August 2009 – found out that I was 8 weeks pregnant.

Sept 2009 – Went to Gainesville to cash in on hubby’s father’s day gift. Four tickets to a Gator Football Game. We had a great time and even saw Tim Tebow at our hotel that morning. Also the flood came to Georgia.

Nov 2009 – found out we are having a boy on my hubby’s 34 birthday. We have decided to name him Walker Andrew Rose.

Dec 2009 – It was heavy on our hearts to give to the less fortunate this year. Open hands Open hearts was our motto. The more we gave the more God replenished. It was a great feeling to know that God was using me and my family to change other people’s lives.

So now on to the next year!!!

His Name Is . . . .

Well it has been a while since I posted last. Hopefully I will get some new pictures up soon. I am 24 weeks pregnant and we have finally decided on a name for our new son. It took a while and a listof about 35 names but in March we will be welcoming Walker Andrew Rose into our family.

We are so excited and can't wait for him to be here. Well the holidays are upon us and with that comes Addyson's birthday on Dec 16th and Cade's birthday on Dec 26th. So this post will be short - but I will upload pictures very soon :)

Well it is offical - It's a BOY

Tuesday, Nov 3rd - which was my husband's birthday we headed to the doctor for our 20week appointment. AS soon as my doctor started the ultra sound he said "It'a Boy!" I think that was the best birthday present I could have given my husband. Cade, my 7year old, is so excited to have a brother. Addyson, my 5 year old, is so disappointed. She wanted a sister so bad. I think she was made for at least 2 days. She is now getting use to the idea of another brother and hopefully in time she will be okay with it. I am so thankful also that the baby looked healthy. No birth defects at all.

Now we need to find a first name. We know the middle name will be Andrew, but we are having a hard time agreeing with a first name. I have suggested over 25 names to Andy and he has yet to find one he likes. Hopefully we will have a name before the baby is here in March.

I am leaving you with a picture of that day - I will post the sonogram pictures as soon as I have time.

2+1=3

Yes that would be 3 kids!!!!

Well as most of my friends and family know – We are Expecting Again!!! Whoo Hoo!! I have waited to announce it on my blog because I wanted to make sure that another miscarriage would not happen. I am happy to announce that I am 16 weeks along and doing GREAT!! God is Always Good and Faithful. It was a hard time in March when we lost the baby at 9 weeks. I prayed for months for God to give us another child - a healthy child that I would not miscarry. Well , as the months went on and I prayed – others were praying for me as well. In late June early July we went on our family vacation to Daytona Beach. I was suppose to be ovulating that week but the ovulation tests kept coming up negative. I just kept praying and knew God would give us a child in His timing not mine. Well, what I didn’t realize is that was the week I got pregnant. I discovered in July that I was 6 weeks pregnant and due in March. God is so good to us. Our friends are so good to us for constantly praying for us and our desire to have another child. Cade and Addyson are so excited and ready for the baby to be here. It has been a year of ups and downs. I am glad God allowed me to have a miscarriage so I could see the support, love, and prayers of my family and friends. I also saw God in many people I did not know but wanted to reach out and comfort me. God has perfect timing and a perfect plan. I am so glad He is in control !!

Flood

Ok so many of you know that we had a HISTORIC flood here in Georgia last week. Well, we happen to live in one of the counties that was hit the hardest. School was out for a whole week and I was out of work for 3 days (I-20 was shut completely down and roads were closed everywhere so I could not get to work). Andy was out of town when the flooding began and only came into town for a short 16 hours to help with some clean up and was off again. We were very lucky to only have a portion of our basement flooded. We have removed the carpet and some drywall and will be trying to fix it in the near future. However, there are people around us that were not so fortunate - they have lost everything. Please pray for this people as they are trying to rebuild their lives. If you would like to help - you can donate items, money, or your time please check out www.westridge.com for more information on how you can help. Here is some pictures of the flooding of the lake and common areas in our neighborhood.

GATOR NATION

Sorry for the long time between posts - but today I will be posting twice to fill you in on all that is going on in the Rose household.

First of all, my husband finally got his Father's Day gift on Sept 12th when our family heading to the Florida vs. Troy game at The Swamp in Gainesville. If you didn't know my husband has always been a HUGE GATOR fan all of his life. He lives for Gator football. He is always wearing one of his MANY Gator shirts. I even think his favorite colors are blue and orange. So for Father's Day this year I bought 4 tickets to go see the Gators in action. We are all huge Gator fans and Tim Tebow fans so we were excited for the day to begin.

When we first woke up that Saturday morning we were greeted with the Gator buses in front of our hotel. We were a little confused but then realized the Florida football team had stayed in our very hotel that night. So as we were going to breakfast we saw all the Gator players head to the buses to go to the stadium. It was pretty cool. So we were off to the stadium to watch the game. As typical Florida weather would have it - it rained during the 2nd and 3rd quarter. But we pulled out our ponchos and made a great time of watching Gator football in the rain. The Gators of course won and we all loved the energy in that stadium that day for the Gators. I think we will be heading back next year for another game:) Here are some pictures of us at the game. Enjoy!!

My Best Friend's Wedding

Back on Friday, August 28, 2009 I had the honor of being one of the two Matrons of Honor in my best friend's wedding. Terri Beth and Eric got married at The Grandview at Rock City. And I was honored when she wore my veil as something borrowed. It was a beautiful wedding and a fun reception. I think me and Addyson danced all night long. I always knew that God would send Terri Beth a man he wanted her to marry and I am so glad he did. She may had to wait a few years longer than me but God sent her Eric who is wonderful to her. I am so happy for these two and so glad that they live close. (Like in the neighbordhood) Here are some pictures of the day. Congrats Terri Beth and Eric Rowland!!
